λ (pronounced as Lambda) is the codename for the playable protagonist in NECROPHANTASMAGORIA. They are non-canonical in the sense that they replace but represent Han Saint-Laurent during the events that occured in Siberia

The usage of the name comes from the implications of lambda in calculus and coding; as an anonymous, abstracted function.

For the sake of brevity, λ will be referred to as 'Lambda' and referred to with they/them pronouns throughout this page.

APPEARANCE

Concrete descriptions of Lambda's physical features are rarely revealed except for details that come to by injury throughout the game (eg. missing fingernail). In this way, under the clothes and mask, Lambda appears as however the player wants.

Lambda wears a torn aviator jacket. Their hands are concealed by gloves and their face, with a balaclava and shaded goggles.

BIOGRAPHY [SPOILERS AHEAD]

Lambda was a GUILD agent involved in a continuous arms trade scheme across East Europe. After several successful dealings, the squad was compromised. Lambda recognized that they were being followed by rogue operators. After a scuffle where the rest of Lambda's squad was killed, Triad operators came to pick up the scraps like vultures. They found the half-conscious Lambda succumbing to their wounds. The operators, lead by Stahl, brought Lambda back for the same reasons why you wouldn't dispose of a nuclear bomb.

Lambda was conventionally interrogated for weeks on end but provided nothing of use. Stahl began to use neuroactive drugs and psychological torture to plant fake memories into Lambda's mind and surpress real ones. Lambda's memory was reprogrammed to make them believe that they were a regular civilian that was down on their luck, desperate for money. They were then hired to transport "precious cargo" (kept privy) to a specified location, one buried in their subconscious; a GUILD extraction point. They would be personally escorted by Stahl's team "for safety". This, of course, was a ruse to get Lambda to lead Triad to their target, unleash what was inside the cargo container, and kill relevant GUILD agents to steal weapons.

GUILD intercepted the truck, causing Lambda to crash and, with the Triad operators, flee into the wilderness where they were all hunted by GUILD agents... and whatever was inside that cargo container.

Work in progress.
